


Kids Karate (6-13 yr)
This program is based on the martial arts discipline of Isshinryu Karate, one of many Okinawan karate styles. Students in this program will be learning a variety of self-defense style techniques that will be taught to them primarily through Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring). In addition, students will also learn about the historical, cultural, and philosophical aspects of the Okinawan martial arts. Students will focus on developing their mental virtues such as confidence, self-control, self-discipline, patience, respect, humility, and perseverance in addition to the physical demands of the training.
